The study authors led by Dr. Robert J. Schroth from University of Manitoba's dental school in Winnipeg, Canada cite previous research showing inadequate maternal vitamin D (assessed by using 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25OHD]) levels during pregnancy may affect tooth calcification, predisposing enamel hypoplasia and early childhood caries (ECC). × To continue reading this article, please Log In or Sign Up for access.
