Low levels of two components of vitamin d can help predict risk of heart attack

Low levels of total vitamin D and bioavailable vitamin D can help predict a person's risk of major adverse cardiovascular events such as a heart attack, stroke, heart failure or death, US research presented at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions in Chicago, on April 2, 2016, suggests. According to the authors from the Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, their study is the “first-of-its-kind”.
