Getting your day off on the right foot gives you the best shot at a great day.
For me, I like to work through my
morning rituals – a workout or a quiet morning reflection followed by a warm coffee and nourishing breakfast. This set of rituals mean I can set the dial on my mind to the right setting and go through my day feeling happy and grounded.
The physical ritual of exercise and meditation are common ways to improve your mood for the day but did you know that food plays an equally important role?
Making sure your breakfast is full of mood-boosting ingredients - whole grains, nuts, seeds and
phytonutrients - means you are giving both your mind and your body the fuel they need to thrive.
This cacao and coffee morning smoothie was created just for this reason. It is a low fruit smoothie recipe that is packed full of fibre, protein, healthy fats and antioxidants. It’s rich, warming and the perfect wake up call for any morning.
